Formula 1 lubricants: why are Valvoline’s products so important to Aston Martin F1 Team?
This year’s Mechanics Month puts the spotlight on the work of mechanics across the world, highlighting their expertise and skill with a range of programmes across 60 countries by providing free gear, training, and more.
Initiatives across 2025 include providing toolboxes and safety gear to mechanics in Thailand, hosting events for mechanics and their families throughout Southeast Asia, delivering ‘Valvoline Mechanics Month packages’ to mechanics in the United States, working with schools and distributors to offer more than 60 scholarships in Mexico and El Salvador, and offering training to more than 200 mechanics and scholars in China.

Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team members will support Valvoline’s Mechanics Month initiative
The official lubricant partner and soon-to-be supplier of lubricants to Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 team will further collaborate with the F1 team to highlight the importance of training more mechanics.
Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team will invite students from Milton Keynes College, in the United Kingdom, to learn from its F1 mechanics through the Valvoline Global Aspiring Mechanics Programme that was established in 2024.
This programme aims to mitigate a potential shortage of mechanics globally and raise awareness of the significance of mechanics’ work.
“Valvoline Global is proud to honour the important contributions of mechanics worldwide,” said Jamal Muashsher, Valvoline Global chief executive officer.
“Mechanics Month is about recognising the mechanics in our local communities who not only maintain the present – but also shape the future – by keeping people around the world moving forward.”
