With four drivers graduating from Formula 2 to Formula 1 in 2025, there is a significantly different grid in this year’s F2 championship.
Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman, Isack Hadjar, and 2024 F2 champion Gabriel Bortoleto are all set to make their full-time F1 debuts in 2025.
The 2025 F2 calendar will begin in Australia on March 14-16 and end in Abu Dhabi on December 5-7 with 28 races across the season.
Here is the confirmed grid for the 2025 F2 championship.
Invicta
Roman Stanek
Leonardo Fornaroli
The 2024 teams’ champion will host an all-new line-up for 2025 as its drivers’ champion, Bortoleto, joins Sauber to make his F1 debut, and Kush Maini moves to a different F2 team.
Last year’s Formula 3 champion Leonardo Fornaroli will join the team alongside Roman Stanek, who left Trident after the 2024 Monza F2 round.
Campos
Arvid Lindblad
Pepe Martii
With Isack Hadjar making his F1 debut with Racing Bulls (formerly RB) for 2025, Campos decided to stick with its all-Red Bull junior line-up and sign up the highly rated Arvid Lindblad to partner returnee Pepe Marti.
MP Motorsport
Richard Verschoor
Oliver Goethe
After Franco Colapinto left MP to replace Logan Sargeant at Williams from the 2024 Italian GP, Oliver Goethe stepped up from F3 to take his place, earning himself a full-time slot for 2025.
His team-mate will be Richard Verschoor, who switched to MP Motorsport from Trident for the final two rounds of the 2024 season and will continue his journey with the team as he takes on his fifth season in F2.
Hitech
Luke Browning
Dino Beganovic
An all-new line-up for Hitech as they secure Williams junior driver Luke Browning and Ferrari junior driver Dino Beganovic for its 2025 campaign.
Browning finished third in the 2024 F3 championship and went on to compete in the final three rounds of the 2024 F2 championship with ART Grand Prix.
Beganovic also ran in the closing F2 races of the season, finishing on the podium as a DAMS driver.
Prema
Gabriele Mini
Sebastian Montoya
Both of Prema’s 2024 drivers, Kimi Antonelli and Ollie Bearman, have graduated to F1 for 2025, leaving the team with a brand new line-up of Gabriele Mini and Sebastian Montoya.
Last year’s F3 runner-up Mini made an early F2 debut with Prema in Azerbaijan in place of Bearman and finished on the podium, earning himself a full-time drive with the team for 2025.
Montoya, son of former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya, will make the step up from F2 after a two-year stint in the series.
DAMS
Jak Crawford
Kush Maini
Maini - an Alpine junior - will switch from Invicta to DAMS for 2025 as he enters his third season in F2.
Aston Martin young driver Jak Crawford will continue with DAMS after finishing fifth for the team in 2024.
ART Grand Prix
Ritomo Miyata
Victor Martins
ART had a rough 2024 with Victor Martins, Zak O’Sullivan, and O’Sullivan’s mid-season replacement Browning.
Ritomo Miyata makes the switch from Rodin to ART for 2025 while Martins remains with the team.
Rodin
Christian Mansell
Alex Dunne
Christian Mansell finished fifth in the 2024 F3 championship after an eye-catching season and stepped up to F2 with Trident in Azerbaijan, before now switching to Rodin for a full-time drive in 2025.
Alex Dunne will team up with Mansell for 2025.
AIX
Joshua Duerksen
Cian Shields
AIX fielded Joshua Duerksen full-time in 2024, while Taylor Barnard graduated to Formula E with McLaren after 10 F2 rounds. Barnard was then replaced by Niels Koolen and then Cian Shields.
Duerksen is back with the team for this season with Shields his team-mate.
Trident
Max Esterson
Sami Meguetounif
An all-new line-up for Trident in 2025. Max Esterson, who finished 21st in the 2023 F3 championship, replaced Verschoor for the final two 2024 F2 rounds and will continue with the team for 2025.
Sami Meguetounif makes the step up from the F3 Trident team to the F2 squad in 2025.
Van Amersfoort Racing
John Bennett
Rafael Villagomez
Van Amersfoort Racing fielded Enzo Fittipaldi until round 12 of the 2024 F2 championship until he left and was replaced by GB3 runner-up John Bennett, who impressed the team enough to be given a full-time drive for 2025.
Bennett will be partnered by Rafael Villagomez, who continues with the team for 2025.
